We post while we are shooting new sets, and then give you daily looks at other exclusive images you can’t find anywhere else. If you don’t have a smart phone, or can’t download Instagram, never fear! THQ recently did the world a huge favor by releasing the Penthouse pack for Saint’s Row: The Third. The game is already awesome, but it got even cooler with the addition of Penthouse Pets. However, the ultimate, ultimate in coolness is that I got to shoot the photos that were used to create the models for the game!
Penthouse called me last year to do an ultra-secret photo shoot, and when I got there (yeah, that secret), I found out it was for a video game! I’d played some Saint’s Row 2, so got pretty excited at the prospect. And… I got to shoot Justine Joli (who I shot multiple times for the Nerdcore calendar) and Ryan Keely (you all know who she is), in addition to the lovely Heather Vandeven, Shay Laren and Nikki Benz!
The shoot was a little while before last year’s Comic-Con, and when I was at the event, they were handing out flyers with my photos on them (done up in the style of the game… see below!).
Needless to say, I have been patiently waiting for the DLC to come out to see how my photos translated to the models in the game. Judging by the trailer, they’re looking great! My photography arsenal is pretty extensive. A lot of my equipment never sees the light of day (I am a consumer junkie), so I’ll just tell you the basics.
Cameras: Nikon D200 is my main camera, Nikon D7000 is for video, and I use my iphone 4 and a Leica D-Lux 4 for candids
Lighting and modifiers: 2 Dynalite RoadMax 1000ws series kits, Nikon Speedlight SB-800, Alien Bees ABR 800 ringflash, medium and small softboxes, grids, reflectors, and foamcore
Lenses: Nikkor 18-70mm, Nikkor 24-70mm, Nikkor 35mm, Nikkor 50mm
I have a TON of other lenses, lighting, modifiers, cameras, etc but these are the pieces of equipment that go into making the images on the site. I will tell you, mostly, I use my D200 with my 18-70mm, one of the Dynalite lights, and maybe some foamcore for most of the shots. Simple and sweet.
As for post, I only use Adobe Photoshop CS5 for retouching and Adobe Bridge for organizing and sorting images. I try to shoot things as close to how I want them to look in the end, to minimize retouching. Then it’s just a matter of minor adjusting (color-correcting, curves, retouching blemishes.) I like the girls to look “human”, so I err on the side of less is more. The photos are in a pretty high resolution, so as you can see (when viewed full screen), you can still see skin texture, pores, hair, etc on the models. Generally, my removal rule is: pimples, bruises, scars, and embarrassing tattoos (only at the model’s request).

Thank you for the compliments, I am ecstatic that you love the site. I’ve put a lot of thought and effort into it, and I hope that others enjoy the site as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it. There’s been a great response so far, and I hope to continue to grow the site with time.
As for Tanit, we’d love to welcome her as an addition to the roster of IHG models. She’s been a very busy bee, so hopefully she will have some free time in the near future to shoot for us.

Thanks for compliments, and happy to see we’ve satisfied your Babeology craving. I loved working on Babeology all of those years, but I love having something I can call my very own now!
As for Ryan, I definitely plan on having her back on the site soon. We only shot the one set (we shot others for her personal site the same day as well), but we are trying to set up another ASAP. Add our instagram @iheartgirlsdotcom to see who we are shooting with before the sets go up.

On the right sidebar of any page on the site, you will see a box that reads, “Subscribe to Blog Posts Via Email”. Well, technically, Megan Duffy is the victim of a maniac, but it doesn’t sound as snappy. Megan’s in Cannes this week promoting her upcoming film, Maniac, a remake of the ’80s horror classic. The film stars Elijah Wood as a serial killer (the maniac in question), and Megan plays a tattooed girl with alt sensibilities who falls victim to his attacks. It’s not a spoiler, people, it’s right there in the trailer. But here is the spoiler: when you watch this movie, you might see her boobs. Don’t bother looking… Fandango is not pre-selling tickets yet. But if you book a flight now, you may be able to catch it at Cannes.

The Avengers hit theaters today, and it’s tough to remember a time when people have been this whipped into a frenzy by a movie. Avenger-mania is all around, and instead of trying to chill that out, we thought we’d throw some gasoline onto the fire… in the form of Sara Brinsfield. Sara was pretty stoked to see the movie when we shot her, so we hooked her up with a Thor t-shirt and snapped a few shots.
Not like you need any more reason to see the movie (it’s awesome), but here is Sara to get you even more inspired:

We could take the easy way out and say “we love Sierra Love,” and while that’s true, we’d never sink to that. Ever. Except, I guess, we just did. When Sierra came over, we immediately whisked her away on a field trip to the LA subway (yeah, they exist!) where we shot her in full public view as gape-mouthed oglers shuffled by. One especially enthusiastic gentlemen let loose with an awe-struck “Woooooow” before shooting her the thumbs up. You can certainly see why:
