Even a few years ago, downtown LA was a wasteland… no one lived there, and unless there was a Lakers game, you could walk around on the weekend and barely see anyone. All that has changed. Now, it seems like every week I’m loading up the car and heading down to the heart of the city (maybe that’s a little over-romantic… more like the spleen of the city) and shooting in lofts and high rises.
That being said, never have I shot in a place like the one we shot Sara Brinsfield in for her first ever set on iheartgirls. We set up in the penthouse of an amazing building that overlooked the Staples Center and took some remarkable photos of her there.
You’ll see more of the awesome view in Sara’s next set, but I wanted you to know what was right out the window as we shot this look. You wouldn’t think it because this set feels all warm and cozy. Sara was right at home, rolling around in bed 22 stories off the ground, and the set turned out amazing as a result. Enjoy!
