There’s so much to love about Ellis, from her awesome range as a model to her wry, seductive smile, to her amazing tattoos (Bela Lugosi!). I love that this set expresses all of it. I love all of the make-believe stuff of taking photos: the dress-up, the glamour, the poses. But I like it when it’s interpreted and filtered through the prism of a girl’s personality, and Ellis is brilliant at doing that.
I shot her last year back when she was still blonde, and I’ve come to one realization: I love her with any hair color. She is stunning as a blonde, and amazing with darker hair. She can pull off pretty much any look, and that is the mark of a truly beautiful, versatile woman.
Shooting Ellis was great. Easy. She’s one of those girls who has a perspective and the collaboration is all about just giving her a stage to express that, and capturing all of the wonderful stuff she’s putting out there. Can you tell I loved shooting her? Ten reasons why are displayed below.
