I’ve been wanting to shoot Amie forever for IHG and it was awesome to finally get the chance… and what a chance it was. Amie told me she had an amazing location, an artist’s studio (we won’t drop names), and when she described the place, I knew we had to shoot there. It did not disappoint.
The place was a feast for the eyes; I could have sat in one spot all night just looking around at the amazing work on display, and the artist’s collection of eclectic sculptures, furniture and macabre delights. We were pressed for time, so I didn’t get to light this so that you would see all of the awesome stuff on display, but you get a hint of it in the background. Anyway, to say this was my kind of place is an understatement. And to make it even better, we shot there a couple of days before Halloween.
I am a huge fan of Stanley Kubrick and I’ve been looking to do an homage to his last film, Eyes Wide Shut. I love the mysterious and Amie was the perfect model for it: sleek, ridiculously fit, and great at posing. She nailed the vibe (love the creepy mask on her), and helped produce a seductive set in the spirit of Halloween.
yowza!!
Heh
Wow! This a bit different from the other photo shoots, but this is fantastic! And this is coming from a guy with a major dislike of creepy masks!
Cherie, I'm glad you finally got to do a shoot with Amie. I could certainly see why you wanted to work with her; she is so beautiful and obviously very talented. One could say you both are two of a kind.
Huh, an artist's studio filled with macabre art? Oh! I know who it is! Rob Zombie, right? ;P
On the other hand, I am a huge fan of creepy masks… Just a warning of what could be in the future. Glad you still liked it!
I am glad that I finally got to shoot Amie again as well! She is a sweetheart and definitely someone I can relate to.
As for the artist, I really can't say, but no, wasn't Rob Zombie.
Ha ha, that's nice of you to let me know. Hopefully they won't be too creepy. At my parent's place, they have this weird rubber/leather mask on the wall with the mouth covered up and crazy shredded strands of material to look like hair I guess. Lol, it is quite disturbing.
If the wasn't bad enough, in my sister's old room, there is a porcelain mask with painted lips and purple and turquoise streaks on it. I could take pictures of the masks, but I would probably give myself nightmares. ;P
Oh, so it's one of those, if you tell me you would have to kill me deals? Ummm… I'll stop asking who the studio belongs to now. Consider the subject dropped.
Yeah, I had some friends in the 80s who had weird harlequin masks in their bedrooms. I always thought they were quite disturbing. Maybe that’s why I love creepy masks now.
As for the studio story, yeah… it’s top secret stuff. Pretty much right up there with who killed JFK and the Loch Ness Monster. Real confidential, I tell ya.
Loved shooting this set!
Well, me and I assume everyone else on here appreciate you doing this shoot to. Cherie and you did a wonderful job. You knew how to work the set and props. I look forward to seeing more sets and pics from you in the near future. Keep up the great work.
Thank you Virgil! There will be a lot more of Amie to come.
Me too! Was awesome to finally work with you again! <3
You did such an incredible job in this shoot! I don't know if you've ever worked with a prop like that before, but you're a natural! You are very talented and if you don't mind me saying, quite stunning. The fact you loved doing this set shows in your work!
You and Cherie are both amazingly talented, which shows in these photos. I can't wait to see you and Cherie work together again!
What a great set! Nailed the mood lighting and Amie knew how to work with that Mask!
Thank you! Amie is quite the skilled model! Had so much fun shooting this set.
And on the Seventh Day God created Cherie in the morning, Amie in the afternoon, and then He rested at night.
Dark, Sexy and Amazing, this is definitely my favorite shoot so far
Yay! I'm glad you liked it… was afraid it might be a bit of a departure from the rest of the sets. Very happy to hear you guys still enjoyed it.
Hahaha
